PRESS RELEASE 2022-09-02

The presence of virus in the air can be detected with the new sampler AIRBIO.ONE RAPID VIRUS from the Italian ORUM International Company in combination with rapid methods such as Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), genetic sequencing, immunoassay, microarrays, mass spectrometry (MS).

As virus variant evolves, laboratory methods are evolving to identify new variants present in the environment. One of the new methods for unknown or novel threats is the genetic sequencing (adaptive nanopure sequencing).

The virus like SARS-CoV-2 COVID is in continuous evolution and mutation to maintain itself in the homo sapiens population. A large amount of population in Europe and other Continents are still not vaccinated and therefore the spread of viruses via aerosol is enlarging via aerosol.

The monitoring of air to detect the presence of viruses in air in hospital wards, workspace, public buildings, is requested by the health authorities.
