PRESS RELEASE 2022-10-02

TRANSMISSION OF ZOONOTIC AGENTS TO DOMESTIC ANIMALS AND HUMANS

The role of wild animals is an important issue in the epidemiology of several zoonoses, due to the fact that they can be a reservoir for the transmission of zoonotic agents to domestic animals and men.

The pandemic of COVID-19 virus requests the monitoring of the air quality in the veterinary field to prevent/avoid future pandemic like Swine Influenza, caused by the spread of virus from animals to human.

The new AIRBIO.ONE RAPID-VIRUS aerosol sampler is dedicated to this epidemiology subject. The bio-aerosol is collected in a liquid and then analysed by a molecular method like PCR.
